Chutneys was conceived to provide Singapore with the “Best North Indian food at affordable prices”.
The owners are British Indians having spent their early years in East Africa and thereafter, in the United Kingdom where Indian food has become the national food of the English. Even in England the culinary tastes of Indian food have adapted creating a unique flavour based on a delicate blend of herbs and spices rather than highly spiced food. This is the approach adopted by Chutney Café creating a unique experience in Singapore.
When it comes to quality Chutneys prides it self in using the best and freshest ingredients available especially fresh meat and vegetables delivered to our door daily. With freshness in mind Chutneys goes as far as grinding our own spice mix from the best quality spice seeds to maintain the unique taste.
With health in mind the emphasis is on reduced salt and fat in the cuisine. The dishes at Chutneys are prepared with only the choicest lean cuts of meats and skinless chicken. The signature dishes such as Tandoori Chicken, Fish and Lamb are cooked in a Tandoor oven, which grills the food. While the curries, are prepared and finished by draining off the oil leaving healthy tasty nutritious food.
With this vision in mind Chutneys have set out to build a strongly branded business that thrives on providing a quality product with a strong focus on value for money and customer service.
In addition to the restaurants, we also provide ready to eat, ‘chilled and frozen products to supermarkets and hotels in Singapore under the brand name ‘Chutney Café’. The Chutney Café chilled products range of Indian foods is first in Singapore. This venture started in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength. In partnership with supermarkets, Chutney Café has expanded its product range to include Italian, Western and Asian Foods under the brand name of “Montys” and “Royal Thai”.
In 2007, Chutneys ventured into the provision of Canteen Services Outsourcing for Corporates. Our first partnership with Credit Suisse bank at Changi Business Park provides Asian, Indian and Western cuisine to the bank’s employees within their premises.
Chutneys goal is to expand in all these areas becoming a key player in the Singapore market whilst preparing for export to the surrounding countries around Singapore.
